The Next Crop Queensland 2025 program features seven days of in-person leadership development. Through the program, participants will: 

  • Identify key strengths, understand leadership skills and styles and address skills gaps.
  • Develop a strong cohort of regional colleagues and counterparts and have increased opportunity to network to further professional goals.
  • Develop leadership and management skills to strengthen business and region wide sustainability and resilience.
  • Increase existing business skills and capabilities and develop confidence in public speaking, decision-making, negotiation and advocacy.
  • Be better equipped to respond to emerging challenges, and better prepared to take advantage of new opportunities and adopt and implement innovative initiatives.
  • Have greater participation and capability to work with local, state and national bodies.
  • Develop the skills and capacity to become actively involved in industry policy development.

A range of topics will be covered by both the program facilitator and industry experts. A draft program of topics with proposed dates will be provided, however some topics will be adapted based on participant need and priorities. Included as part of the application process you will be asked to share your top three development needs. This will assist the organisers in collaboratively designing the program.

  • Fully catered leadership days and retreats (with accommodation options).

Program sessions and experiences will feature some of the most inspiring people and places of the Queensland Wine Regions and beyond. Together with a range of expert facilitators and special guests, participants will explore the cultural, social, environmental and economic challenges and opportunities influencing the region.

Next Crop Queensland 2025 themes will include (but not be limited to) cultural awareness, authentic leadership, strategic thinking, wellbeing for leaders, environmental, social and governance responsibilities, persuasive storytelling and collaborative impact.

Every leader will gain insights, frameworks and tools to take local action in response to the great challenges influencing our world. At the program culmination there will be a graduation ceremony.
