The Ballandean Estate 2012 Saperavi was awarded the Trophy for the Champion Alternative Variety Red White and went on to be awarded the Champion Wine of the Show.  Ballandean Estate NV Liqueur White Muscat was awarded the Champion Fortified Wine.

Adding to these were trophies for  Queensland Viticulturist of the Year, Angelo Puglisi, Queensland Winemaker of the Year, Dylan Rhymer, and Queensland Winery of the Year.

A very happy Leeanne Gangemi (pictured) collected the awards on behalf of the team at Ballandean Estate Wines.

Other trophy winners were Hidden Creek – Champion Mainstream White Variety- 2011 Chardonnay, Mason Wines – Champion Mainstream Variety Red Wine – 2012 Shiraz and Robert Channon Wines – Outstanding Wine of Provenance – Reserve Chardonnay.

Supporter Awards went to Tony Harper (Brisbane News) – Most Supportive Press Media Commentator, Steve Leszcnzski (@Qwine) (pictured) – Most Supportive Social Media Commentator,  Queensland Wine Centre – Most Supportive Retailer and South Bank Regional Flavours – Most Supportive Community Event.
