Did you know that Queensland winemakers are leading the way in Emerging Varietal Wines? Are you interested in tasting some of these varieties to add to your cellar?
Come along to the Stokehouse Q in South Bank in Brisbane on February 22 for a chance to taste, talk, and enjoy all things Queensland Emerging Varieties! You will get to taste varieties like Malvesia, Albarino, Saperavi and Montepulciano to name a few.
The Queensland Wine Industry Association is hosting the Inaugural Queensland International Emerging Variety Wine Challenge. Queensland grown wines will go up against the best examples from Europe in this challenge. The aim is to shine a light on how well Queensland producers are doing with these varieties and to illustrate the similarities and differences between the European wines and their Queensland counterparts.
To celebrate the challenge, we are hosting three events on Saturday 22 February at the Stokehouse Q in South Bank – a public tasting, a Masterclass and a Presentation Dinner.
