Queensland Wine Week (May 30 -June 7) will kick off on May 30th to join in the celebrations for Aussie Wine Month (May), the country’s biggest annual celebration of Australian wine.
Father and son combination of Sam and Ray Costanzo are setting the standard for Queensland wine. At the recent 2014 Queensland Wine Awards Golden Grove was named Queensland Winery of the Year with Sam Costanzo taking out Queensland Viticulturist of the Year and Ray Costanzo Queensland Winemaker of the Year.
Ridgemill Estate 2012 Chardonnay is in good company being awarded 94 points and a regional winner in the James Halliday Chardonnay Challenge. The wine is an elegant style with a good balance showing excellent use of oak.
